American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Long-Term Acute Care facility. The role requires CLPN with IV certification and at least 2 years of LTAC experience with ventilated patients.

The position operates on 12-hour day shifts, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20 and coverage on weekends/holidays. Epic EMR is used; local candidates within 50 miles may be considered.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure with CLPN if applicable.
• IV certification required as part of license.
• Minimum 2 years LTAC experience.
• Ventilator experience required.
• 40+ bed or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Must not have worked perm/per diem at this health system in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 100-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility.
• Care for geriatrics, short-term post-acute, LTC, and ventilated/trach/rehab patients.
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20.
• Cooperate with Nurse Practitioner 7a-4:30p, with day/night staff support.
• Work 12-hour day shifts 0645-1908, 84 hours biweekly (48h/36h).
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• Float to units within competencies.
• No on-call; no block or self-scheduling; schedule based on facility need.
• Weekend and holiday coverage required; complete availability expected.

• Ventilator experience required
• 400+ bed or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must not have worked perm/per diem at this health system in the last 12 months
• Full date of birth, Social Security Number, and RTO required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a 100-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility
• Patient population includes geriatrics, short-term post-acute, LTC, and ventilated/trach/rehab patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:20
• Nurse Practitioner on duty 7a-4:30p Monday-Friday, with ancillary assistance of 9 staff during days and 7 at night
• 12-hour day shifts from 0645-1908, working 84 hours biweekly (48 hours one week, 36 the next)
• Uses Epic EMR
• Float required to units within competencies
• No on-call requirements
• No block or self-scheduling available; scheduling based on facility need
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Complete availability and flexibility with scheduling required on a non-negotiable basis
• Contracted position must be maintained as primary work commitment above any other type of work
• First week does not include guaranteed hours
• Scrub color provided by facility
• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Compliance documents due 7 days before start date
• COVID vaccine and flu shot are not required; if declined, a mask must be worn at all times except during mealtimes
• Orientation held on Wednesdays in Tupelo for RN/LPN staff
• Local candidates accepted
• Local rate available within 50 miles
• Radius rate available
• Strong first-time travelers may be considered for screening
