American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit in Nebraska. This role requires 2+ years of experience, BLS certification, an active license if applicable, and Epic EMR experience.

The 60-bed unit serves adults with some pediatric cases; shifts are 12-hour nights with weekend rotation, and travel housing and licensure support are available.

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification, with license required if applicable.

Requirements

• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Navy scrubs required, artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments
• Driver's license copy required at submission
• Permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility, verified via driver's license

Responsibilities

• Acute care Medical Surgical with Telemetry unit, Level 2 Trauma facility
• 60-bed unit serving primarily adults with a small pediatric population (1-5 cases per year)
• RN to patient ratio of 5:1
• Common diagnoses include post-surgical recovery, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, weakness, and cancer
• 12-hour night shifts (0630-1900/1830-0700 equivalent), working every other weekend
• 36 hours per week with 12 hours of orientation
• May be required to float to 6E acute rehab unit or geriatric psych unit
• Uses Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Serves a diverse patient population, including African American and Korean-speaking communities
• Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and genuine care for patients and colleagues
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
