Penn National Insurance seeks a Loss Control Consultant to support commercial accounts in Maryland, Delaware, and Philadelphia. The role conducts on-site surveys, evaluates hazards, and partners with underwriting, claims, and agents to reduce risk and improve safety.

Ideal candidates bring a strong safety/risk management background, solid communication and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, science or engineering required or preferred.
• Certifications such as ALCM, ARM, ASP, CSP, CIH or OHST preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in property/casualty loss control or related field.

Responsibilities

• Complete reports for visits to assist underwriting decisions.
• Visit facilities to understand operations and hazards.
• Evaluate safety programs against OSHA, NFPA, DOT, ANSI, local codes.
• Promote loss control services during agency visits.
• Provide loss control consulting for written accounts and on-site training.
• Conduct basic Industrial Hygiene and Health surveys.
