Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment, 36 hours per week, night shifts. You will monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, administer care, and coordinate with obstetric teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires obstetric nursing expertise, strong clinical judgment, and effective communication; travel benefits and a supportive clinical team are provided.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn stabilization.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
