Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Sterling, VA. You’ll join a dedicated clinical team delivering obstetric care and working with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
The role emphasizes maternal and fetal assessment, medication administration, and collaboration during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Strong clinical skills and clear communication are essential.
Qualifications
- One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
Responsibilities
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
- Provide immediate postpartum care including mother and newborn assessment.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
