Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in New Lenox, Illinois.

The RN should have 3 years of acute care experience, ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications, and will work a 13-week assignment on 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week). This travel role emphasizes labor support, newborn care, and collaboration with physicians throughout the delivery process.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• Certifications ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments.
• Immediate care of newborn.
