Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for an immediate opening in Urbana, IL. The assignment runs for 12 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, requiring ACLS/BLS/NRP and at least 3 years of acute care experience.

The L&D RN will support women before, during, and after delivery, assist with epidurals and cesarean prep as needed, and provide newborn care. Travel candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and lifting up to 50 pounds when

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience.
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/dilation.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
