Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse (RN) for a 6-week assignment in Chicago, IL. This 36-hour weekly, 12-hour night shift role requires 3 years of acute care experience and BLS/EFM certs. The L&D RN will monitor labor, assist with procedures, and support newborn care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.
• BLS and EFM certifications required.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery is essential.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and support breathing techniques.
• Assist physicians with procedures and newborn care.
• Prepare patient for cesarean deliveries when needed.
• Maintain safe, clean patient environment during shifts.
