Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a travel assignment in Fairfield, California. The RN should have at least three years of acute care experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts.

Emergency readiness and ability to assist during epidurals, cesarean prep, and newborn care are essential. The position is travel-based with tax-free stipends to be determined. TotalMed RN job ID #1491059.

• 3 years’ acute care experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Maintain clean and dry beds; manage fluids.
• Assist physicians with delivery procedure and newborn care.
