Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for an assignment in San Antonio, Texas. This role is a 13-week travel position with 36 hours per week, featuring 12-hour days.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of recent acute care experience and must hold BLS, NRP, EFM, and ACLS certifications. As an L&D Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians during epidurals, deliveries, and cesarean preparations, while providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• BLS, NRP, EFM and ACLS certifications required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to track progression.
• Maintain clean and dry beds; manage fluids and fluids cleanup.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns and instruments.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
