Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment in Turlock, California. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of recent acute care experience and holds ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications. L&D RNs will care for women before, during and after delivery, assist with procedures, monitor labor, and support the newborn.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care RN experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM certifications required.
• Ability to stand long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient during labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assist physicians with epidurals, drapes, instruments.
• Provide immediate newborn care after delivery.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and patient safety is maintained.
