Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for a midlothian, Virginia assignment. The RN must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications and at least 3 years of acute care experience.

The position is 18 weeks long with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and travel status. Primary duties include continuous patient monitoring during labor, aiding delivery with physicians, and immediate newborn care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix progression and dilation.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean up fluids around birth.
• Assist physician with delivery instruments and setup.
• Provide immediate care to the newborn.
