TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The RN should have 3 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS/BLS certifications.

This travel role involves 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, with a guaranteed schedule and potential stipends; patient care includes assisting with delivery, providing newborn care, and supporting mothers during the birthing process.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care RN experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Start date is 10/05/2026; travel assignment lasts 13 weeks.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Assist physicians with delivery instruments and procedures.
• Provide immediate care to the newborn.
