Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Perham, MN. This role offers a 36-hour work week with 12-hour night shifts, providing obstetric care and assisting in cesarean sections under physician supervision.

Applicants must have 1 year of L&D experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. Additional certifications like AWHONN or ACLS are preferred. Per diem, travel benefits, and a supportive clinical team are included.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Assist during labor, delivery, and postpartum assessments with physician support.
• Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn, with stabilization as needed.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members for cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and assessments in the medical record with accuracy.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Monitor fetal well-being and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with hospital policies and state/federal regulations.
