Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 14-week assignment in Boston, MA. You will provide obstetric nursing care, monitor mother and baby, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe deliveries.

This travel position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and 36 hours per week with night shifts. If you are a skilled L&D nurse with current RN license and BLS/NRP, apply to join our clinical team.

Qualifications

Must have one year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
Must hold valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) and NRP certification are required.

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Prepare equipment and assist during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
Provide immediate postpartum care and neonatal assessment.
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members to deliver cohesive care.
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
Document care and outcomes in medical records.
Participate in quality improvement to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
