Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Salem, MA. You will provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care, monitor fetal health, and collaborate with a clinical team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires 1 year of L&D RN experience, active MA RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, with opportunities for earning competitive pay and benefits on a travel contract.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP certification required

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, offering reassurance
• Administer prescribed obstetric medications and treatments per nursing standards
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations
• Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilize mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document care and assessments in medical records
• Participate in quality improvement to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other procedures
• Maintain regulatory compliance with hospital policies and laws
• Perform other duties within the labor and delivery scope
