Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse in Boston, MA for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 3 years of acute care RN experience, ACLS/BLS/NRP certifications, and rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Start date is 10/12/2026 with travel employment type.

As an L&D RN, you will assist physicians during epidurals, cesarean preparations, and newborn care, while monitoring labor progress and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the birthing process.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and dilation.
• Assist with delivery setup and immediate newborn care.
• Provide support to patient and family during labor.
