Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for an 8-week assignment in Dickson, TN. The candidate must have 3 years' acute care experience, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications, and be available for ASAP start. Travel RN with 36 hours/week and 12-hour day shifts are offered.

Responsibilities include monitoring labor, assisting during delivery, and newborn care, with emphasis on patient safety and emotional support throughout the birthing process.

Qualifications

• 3 years acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix progression and dilation.
• Maintain clean and dry beds, assist with delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care for newborn.
• Assist physicians during epidurals, cesarean prep, and delivery processes.
