Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse (RN) for Dickson, TN. 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights. The travel role requires 3 years of acute care experience and specific certifications (ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN).

Duties include labor support, fetal monitoring, and newborn care, with hospital safety and rapid response for procedures as needed. This travel assignment emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; manage bodily fluids.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns and delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care to newborn.
