Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for an opening in Dickson, Tennessee. Immediate start with 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Travel RN opportunity with tax-free stipends and benefits.

Requires ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN and 3 years of acute care experience. As an L&D RN you will monitor labor, support mothers and newborns, and assist physicians during deliveries and procedures.

Qualifications

• L&D nursing experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Maintain beds and clean environment before and after delivery.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
