Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures for a Cath Lab position in Marysville, CA. The ideal candidate holds CRT and fluoroscopy certifications and has 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience; ARRT is preferred.

The role involves day shifts, on-call duties about 6–7 days per month (one weekend included), and active participation in interventional imaging procedures to guide catheter placement.

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab unit performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations
• Day shift, Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week 8:00–4:30
• On-call approximately 6–7 days per month including one weekend
• Performs interventional procedures using cardiovascular imaging equipment
• Operates imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs during cardiac catheterization
• Positions and immobilizes patients per protocol; assists physicians
• Enters imaging factors and filming sequences per protocol
• Initiates contrast injections and operates fluoroscope and cinefluorography
• Provides patient explanations and discharge instructions
• Monitors blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration during procedures
• Alerts physician to changes in patient condition during imaging
• Accepts local candidates at same rate as travel candidates

• CRT and Fluoroscopy certification required
• RT license in state of practice required, license required if applicable
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• ARRT certification preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required, Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
• Cerner and EPIC experience must be noted if applicable

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab unit performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations
• Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call required approximately 6-7 days per month, including one weekend per month
• Performs active radiographic interventional procedures using sophisticated cardiovascular imaging equipment
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization
• Positions and immobilizes patients using head and shoulder braces following specified protocols
• Assists physicians with specialized procedures and exams
• Enters technical imaging factors and filming sequences per protocol
• Manipulates x-ray tube and examining table position per physician instructions
• Initiates automatic contrast injections and activates fluoroscope and cinefluorography equipment to guide catheter placement
• Provides patients with procedure explanations and discharge instructions
• Monitors multichannel data analysis system for blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration during procedures
• Alerts physician to changes in patient condition during imaging
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius rule
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior licensure action will not be considered
