Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with required Cath Lab experience to perform cardiac and vascular radiographic procedures in a busy cardiovascular lab.

The role includes a variable shift mix (7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm) with after-hours call, every other weekend, and two weeknights weekly. Requires RT license if applicable, BLS, FLUORO, HLFS and other protective certifications. Three years of Cath Lab experience is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Cath Lab experience required.
• RT license in the state of practice (license required if applicable).
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification required.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required.
• PVMB, TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification required.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent preferred.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Three years of technical experience preferred, with experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred.
• Minimum of three years of specialty experience in Cath Lab required for consideration.
• Recent experience within the last three months in the specialty required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab department within a hospital setting.
• Variable shift schedule including options such as 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm.
• Role similar to an IR Tech.
• Call requirements include after-hours coverage, every other weekend, and two weeknights per week.
• Performs active radiographic interventional procedures using complex cardiovascular equipment.
• Performs and assists with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations, including angiocardiograms during cardiac catheterization.
• Positions and immobilizes patients using head and shoulder braces following specified protocols.
• Assists physicians with specialized interventional procedures.
• Models, mentors, and trains staff on technical skills.
• Provides input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rates with no radius rule.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined.
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered.
