Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit. The role requires ARRT (R) or RCIS certification and IR experience, with a CA radiology license if ARRT (R).

Travelers are welcome and local candidates within 50 miles may be paid at local rate. Shifts are 4x10 hours starting at 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM; rotating night and weekend call is required; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required; if ARRT (R), a California radiology technologist license is required
• License required if applicable
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Fluoroscopy permit required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an IR Tech required
• Prior travel experience required
• Skilled in vascular, neurological, and genitourinary IR studies and procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and vascular closure systems
• Experience with EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and equipment set-up
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and monitor patients accurately

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology Lab setting supporting cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs
• 4x10 hour day shifts, with start times of 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
• No weekend shift requirement, but rotating night and weekend call is required
• Uses fluoroscopy, Siemens equipment, ultrasound, and PACS
• Provide technical and procedural support for a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac procedures
• May mentor and train students
• Follows strict adherence to safety, privacy, and regulatory standards
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Requires completion of lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
