Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Carmel, IN. The IR tech will support physicians during minimally invasive procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced lab.

Requirements include ARRT/RCIS/RCES and BLS certification, plus one year of IR tech experience. Preferred ACLS/PALS/ENPC and state licensure; travel benefits apply.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; ensure readiness for procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team to provide seamless care
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
