Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Indianapolis, IN. You will assist physicians in minimally invasive procedures, prepare patients and equipment, and operate imaging modalities such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide complex vascular cases.

Ideal candidates have 1 year IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS and state licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS and PALS preferred; radiologic technologist license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, maintain sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment for readiness.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and team members.
• Follow infection control, safety and regulatory protocols.
• Provide patient education before, during and after procedures.
