Job summary

TotalMed RN in Iron River, Michigan is seeking an Infusion/PICC RN for a 13-week travel assignment. The role focuses on infusion therapy and PICC line care, with a 40-hour week and dayshift.

You will manage IV therapies, coordinate with the care team, and ensure patient safety and education throughout the assignment. The ideal candidate has RN experience in infusion, is BLS certified, and eligible for Michigan licensure.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as an RN in an infusion setting.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Eligible for State licensure in Michigan.
• Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift with proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine infusion needs and PICC placement.
• Insert, maintain, and care for PICC lines and central venous access devices with patient safety in mind.
• Administer IV medications and fluids as prescribed, ensuring proper techniques and monitoring.
• Monitor patient responses during and after infusions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
