Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel RN Infusion for a 13-week assignment in Orange, Connecticut. This role focuses on infusion therapy and PICC line management with a strong emphasis on patient safety and education.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of infusion RN experience, BLS certification, and licensure eligibility. Willingness to travel and adapt to varied patient needs is required. Travel benefits and dedicated support are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience in infusion setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Eligible for State licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments for infusion therapy or PICC placement.
• Insert, maintain, and care for PICC lines and other central venous access devices.
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and other treatments as prescribed with proper infusion techniques.
• Monitor patient responses during and after infusions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care across settings.
• Prevent infection and complications related to infusion therapy and document interventions.
