Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift in Texas. You will provide critical care nursing in a Level IV Trauma ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio, handling complex cases such as respiratory failure and post-op patients.

Requirements include an active RN license (TX or compact), ACLS/BLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of nursing and critical care experience. Night shifts with every other weekend, travel housing, and reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license TX or compact required.
• AHA ACLS and AHA BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Critical care experience required.
• RN education required.

Responsibilities

• Care for ICU patients in a Level IV Trauma facility with 10 beds.
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2 in critical care.
• Manage patients with diagnoses like respiratory failure, DKA, COPD exacerbation, post heart cath, CHF, and post-op.
• Operate equipment including Baxter pumps and Tele Access Critical Care monitoring.
• Experience with MedHost EHR preferred.
• Night shift with every other weekend on a 6-week schedule.
• No on-call requirements; may float if needed.
• Provide expert critical care nursing services to complex patients.
