Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is seeking a Major Project Travel Technician 2- Temp Control based in the United States. You will join an elite team to install, service, and repair HVAC and electrical distribution equipment at Major Projects and service centers.

You will read schematics, follow safety regulations, and travel to various sites with up to 75% travel. The role offers competitive pay and robust training in compressed air, electrical, controls, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 4+ years' experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Certifications in Electrical Generating System Association or similar are a plus but not required.
• May need to obtain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, move on uneven terrain, and travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and OFA systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures on Major Projects and in service centers.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures and design proactive notifications.

Major Project Travel Technician 2- Temp Control

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Major Project Travel Technician 2- Temp Control based in any US city.

What you’ll do:

• You will be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects from large events, to assisting Utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery.
• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers.
• Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance

Pay & Benefits

• Competitive pay with potential for overtime and/or weekends Pay Range $30.00-$44.00 an hour with a $2.50/hr. travel allowance, annual bonus program

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED 4+ years' experience working on HVAC equipment performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Electrical Generating System Association technician or other various certifications are a plus but not required.
• Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multi-meter’s, amp meters, and Hygrometers
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
