Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Major Project Travel Technician 2- Temp Control, home-based in the United States with up to 75% travel to support a range of projects from events to refinery turnarounds.

You will install, commission, service and repair generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment and HVAC systems, reading schematics and ensuring safe operation per OSHA and EPA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience on power generators, inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Electrical Generating System Association technician or other certifications are a plus but not required.
• Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multimeters, amp meters, and hygrometers.
• TWIC card or valid DOT medical card and driver's license may be required.
• Ability to move or lift objects up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures on Major Projects and in service centers.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures and design proactive notifications.

What you'll do:

• You will be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects from large events, to assisting Utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery.
• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers. Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance

• Pay Range $30.00-$44.00 an hour with a $2.50/hr. travel allowance, annual bonus program

Here's what you'll get:

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
