Job summary

Stryker is seeking an on-site installation technician to handle the physical installation, testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, booms, and video integration systems. You will coordinate with sales, project engineering, project management, field service and electricians, plumbers, and hospital staff.

The role requires 100% overnight travel, with travel, lodging and meals paid per Stryker policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 0–2 years experience in telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction or medical device fields.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and wire diagrams; install and test equipment to spec.

Responsibilities

• Confirm site readiness and perform inventory of installable equipment.
• Install surgical light suspensions, booms, video systems and cabling per design specs.
• Program, test, and inspect video sources; document tasks and sign-off.
• Maintain records of installation tasks and communications with stakeholders.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and manage daily installation schedule.
• Ensure safety compliance and PPE during execution.
