Job summary

Wachter is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to service retail locations nationwide. You will work on installation, testing, and maintenance of life-safety systems, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and code compliance.

The role requires field installation experience, NFPA knowledge, a California Blue Card, and willingness to travel up to 80%. Competitive pay: $35 to $50 per hour, plus benefits and a company vehicle after orientation.

Qualifications

• Must hold California Blue Card Electrician Certification for Fire/Life Safety Technician.
• Field installation experience in Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control security environments.
• NICET certification (Preferred).
• Current/valid state Physical Security and/or Life Safety license.
• Familiar with NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 standards.
• Day shift with some night shifts; travel up to 80%.
• Clean driving record; no DUI/DWI in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and equipment for IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion, and LAN/WAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings and drill through walls.
• Ensure systems comply with electrical codes and fire codes.
• Test newly installed systems and devices for operation.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on schedules and timely delivery.
• Provide on-site and remote technical escalation support.
