Hitachi Energy seeks a Field Supervisor and Tester for its Earth City, MO location. The role involves leading crews, performing installation, repair, and testing of high- voltage transformers and reactors on customer sites with extensive travel.

The ideal candidate has a background in transformer field service operations, fluency in installation and testing, and is willing to travel up to 85%. Safety and customer coordination are essential in this hands-on, onsite position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years field service experience, or an Associate degree with 3+ years.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience with transformer installation, testing, and field service.
• Welding experience and Load Tap Changer (LTC) maintenance are a plus.
• Must be willing to travel up to 85% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating crews of 2 to 8+ technicians on projects.
• Install, repair, test, maintain, relocate, inspect, and retrofit transformers from 4160V to 765kV.
• Serve as the onsite point of contact for customers and subcontractors.
• Assign tasks to crew members to optimize cost and duration based on conditions.
• Perform transformer and reactor electrical testing (bushing power factor, capacitance, megger, CT ratio/polarity, TTR, winding resistance, insulation tests, SFRA, DFR).
• Provide input on project planning regarding schedule and manpower.
• Uphold safety-first culture and comply with Hitachi Energy and customer EHS requirements.
