Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers across the United States, focusing on transformers from installation to life-cycle support. You will troubleshoot, read drawings, and ensure safe, professional service at diverse sites.

The role requires up to 85% travel and strong customer focus, with hands-on work on oil processing, assembly, and equipment upgrades in field environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 5+ years in field service for transformer work.
• Broad knowledge of transformer field service operations and testing.
• Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site and remote services: install, commission, maintain, repair, upgrade, and replace equipment.
• Read drawings and manuals to complete assigned work safely and accurately.
• Perform transformer internal work including bushing connections and tapping.
• Repair, re-gasket, assemble, and disassemble transformer equipment as required.
• Coordinate resources and ensure safety and quality during field service jobs.
