Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Field Service Engineer to support maintenance, warranty repairs and commissioning for FACTS and HVDC stations. Work at SVC, iSVCs, Fixed Series Capacitor, and HVDC sites across the United States with extensive travel (70%).

Lead commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of HVDC, synchronous condenser, and series capacitor systems, including protection and control interfaces. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of three years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three years commissioning experience with HVDC, FACTS, SVC, or related systems.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and protection drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVDC, synchronous condenser, and series capacitor systems.
• Oversee protection, control, communication interfaces, and equipment testing.
• Interface with customers on site and maintain long-term relationships.
• Coordinate tests, document activities, and support outage planning.
• Travel extensively to SVC, FACTS, HVDC stations across the US.
