Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an HVDC & FACTS Field Service Engineer to join the Field Services team. This fully remote role is based in the United Kingdom with site/project work worldwide.

You will manage service contracts, coordinate site activities, and provide hands-on commissioning support for FACTS and HVDC equipment. Ideal candidates have hands-on power-electronics experience, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to lead multi-year service projects across global customers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (or equivalent) in power electronics with hands-on experience in drives, FACTS, or HVDC systems.
• Ability to travel extensively to projects and field assignments.
• Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality technical support by managing service contracts.
• Coordinate site activities and contribute to commissioning of FACTS and HVDC equipment.
• Lead maintenance and on-site interventions for FACTS and HVDC systems.
• Attend and lead customer meetings and provide technical solutions.
• Support tendering activities with technical expertise.
