Job summary

ABEC is seeking a System Service Technician to install and modify equipment at customer facilities. You will work with a skilled service team to bring complex systems online, ensuring safe, professional, and on-schedule completion.

The role combines mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and direct customer interaction with project execution. Travel up to 80% and work at manufacturing and customer sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Mechanical assembly experience required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely in manufacturing and customer-site environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% (local and international travel).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work (lifting/pushing/pulling).
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Electrical assembly experience or Lean/Six Sigma knowledge or prior continuous-improvement experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify and troubleshoot ABEC systems at customer sites.
• Coordinate daily activities and project expectations with customers.
• Guide team members through technical, procedural and material-related challenges.
• Support project scoping, labor estimates and process-improvement efforts.
• Report progress, materials and scheduling needs to project management.
• Complete system walkdowns, resolve open items and support customer handover.
• Maintain ABEC tools and equipment in safe, certified condition.
• Participate in project reviews and coordination meetings as needed.
