Job summary

ABEC is seeking an Applications Engineer to act as a solution development expert for biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment. You will interface with global Sales and internal teams to craft custom-designed solutions, estimates, and proposals that meet ABEC’s commercial and technical goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, design, automation, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and project management to grow CSR business worldwide, with up to ~30% travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in biopharma capital equipment engineering/design, bioprocess sciences, and/or applications/product management.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate both technical issues and commercial situations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop technical and commercial proposals under tight deadlines.
• Interpret customer requirements and develop optimal technical solutions with internal groups.
• Generate budgetary and definitive cost estimates to support opportunities.
• Provide technical content for marketing tools to communicate ABEC product features and differentiation.
• Support new product launches and train Sales on product capabilities and differentiation.
