Job summary

Universal Strategy Group Inc (USGI) is seeking a Financial Management Analyst to support Special Operations travel management, ensuring JTR compliance and DoD policy adherence. You will analyze travel processes, develop improvements, and generate reports to aid decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting classified government travel program and financial management systems.
• Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and DoD FMR; policy compliance.
• Strong customer service, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide process improvement recommendations.
• Ability to handle sensitive and classified information in accordance with DoD policy.
• Familiarity with DoD reimbursement programs (e.g., Personally Procured Move).
• Must possess and maintain a current TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service and troubleshooting for travelers and authorized officials.
• Assist in development, validation, and processing of travel authorizations and vouchers.
• Analyze and streamline travel operations within TPAX and related FM systems.
• Conduct audits and reconciliations of travel transactions to identify discrepancies.
• Advise on best practices, trends, and policy changes related to JTR and travel policies.
• Support development of process improvements and automated travel management solutions.
• Prepare data reports and dashboards for decision-making and visibility of travel expenditures.
• Coordinate with resources to ensure payment-related issues are resolved in the reimbursement program.
• Maintain SOPs and compliance records for audits.
• Stay updated on DoD travel policies and system updates to ensure compliance.
