Job summary

Russells Technical Products seeks a Field Service Engineer to travel to customer sites, performing installations, start-ups, and preventive maintenance after a 2–4 week training period at our Holland, Michigan facility.

You will train users, troubleshoot refrigeration and electronics, document performance, and maintain logs. Weekly local/regional travel is required; travel time is paid, per diem is provided, and a vehicle is supplied.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years refrigeration experience AND a solid understanding of single stage refrigeration. Knowledge of cascade refrigeration a plus.
• Minimum 2 years work experience or training in commercial / industrial refrigeration or HVAC/R
• Experience with electronics and controls programming
• Work experience in a related service capacity.
• Experience or training in cascade refrigeration systems, EPA Universal Certificate, and work experience in the environmental simulation systems industry are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform field installations and start-ups; conduct preventive maintenance and verify performance against specs.
• Conduct training and instruct users in operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate refrigeration, electronics, and electro-mechanical components.
• Coordinate service calls with customers and develop preventive maintenance contracts.
• Maintain knowledge of warranty, maintenance, and service policies.
• Maintain vehicle logs and travel expense reports.
