Job summary

Russell's Technical Products Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, start-up and service refrigeration and electro-mechanical systems at customer sites across the region, performing travel-based work with professionalism.

After a 2–4 week training at our Holland, Michigan facility, the role includes weekly local and regional travel, on-site troubleshooting, customer training, thorough documentation, and maintaining vehicle logs, with company-paid travel costs and a $350 per week

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years work experience or training in commercial / industrial refrigeration or HVAC/R.
• Experience with electronics and controls programming.
• Work experience in a related service capacity.
• Experience or training in cascade refrigeration systems, EPA Universal Certificate, and work experience in the environmental simulation systems industry are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform field installations and start-ups, preventative maintenance, inspect/conduct performance tests to verify product compliance and document installed performance.
• Conduct training and instruct product users in proper operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate refrigeration, electronics, and electro-mechanical components using prints and schematics.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers; coordinate service calls and develop preventive maintenance contracts.
• Maintain knowledge of warranty, maintenance, and service policies.
• Keep vehicle logs, maintenance schedules and detailed field service/travel expense reports.
