FiberTel, LLC is seeking a Travel Fiber Splicer for the Sacramento market. This hourly role involves installing and repairing fiber optics, splicing, and traveling to multiple locations. Candidates should have 2–3 years of fiber splicing experience, ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends, and be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.

CDL is preferred. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $34.00 per hour with daily per diem; benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one.
• Good driving record required.
• Basic knowledge to safely operate trucks and equipment.
• Knowledge of fiber optic color code and numbers.
• 2–3 years fiber splicing experience.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Install and repair fiber optics.
• Assist in fiber optic splicing.
• Set up safety perimeter with signage, cones, and barriers.
• Flag traffic when required.
• Prepare splice locations and termination points.
• Drive bucket truck and operate splicing equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot fiber with OTDR.
• Submit daily time cards for crew members.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform splicing across multiple locations.
• Pull fiber as needed.
• Pre-trip vehicle inspections.
