Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Splicer to install, splice, test, and commission fiber optic infrastructure in hyperscale data centers. This is a travel-based, onsite role across multiple nationwide locations with 12-hour shifts.

Two tiers exist: Tech I at $30/hour (1-3 years) and Tech II at $35/hour (3+ years); per diem, housing, and travel expenses are provided. Candidates must be willing to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• Fusion splicing of single-mode and multi-mode fiber required.
• Read and interpret fiber drawings and splice matrices.
• Willing to travel nationwide and work 12-hour shifts.

• Perform fusion splicing and termination of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables.
• Install and route fiber cabling between cabinets, racks, and network equipment.
• Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to verify fiber performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber connectivity issues.
• Read and interpret fiber drawings, splice matrices, and pathway diagrams.
• Maintain accurate test documentation and as-built records.
• Support data center construction, network expansion, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.

Fiber Splicers will support the installation, splicing, testing, and commissioning of fiber optic infrastructure within hyperscale data center environments. This is a travel-based role supporting Data Center projects across multiple locations nationwide.
