Job summary

LINX is hiring Fiber Specialists to deploy to enterprise, hyperscale, and data center builds across the country. You will perform ribbon and loose tube fusion splicing, build splice enclosures, install LIUs and MPO panels, and ensure fiber routing meets specifications.

The role emphasizes testing (OTDR/OLTS/power meter) and thorough documentation while offering travel-heavy assignments across multi-market locations. Compensation includes hourly pay for travel-ready technicians.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in advanced fusion splicing (ribbon and loose tube).
• Ability to perform OTDR, OLTS, power meter, and VFL testing.
• Ability to read fiber drawings and rack elevations.
• Willingness to travel nationally on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform ribbon and loose tube fusion splicing, including butt splices, tie-ins, and restoration work.
• Build and dress splice enclosures and Fiber Distribution Frames (FDFs).
• Install Line Interface Units (LIUs) and MPO panels.
• Perform mid-span entries and ring cuts.
• Maintain proper fiber routing, slack storage, and cable management to spec.
