Job summary

LINX is actively seeking Fiber Specialists to join a travel-based team that supports enterprise, hyperscale, and data center builds across the country. You will independently run ribbon and loose tube fusion splicing, validate work by OTDR/OLTS tests, and contribute to high-volume fiber deployments in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years in fusion splicing, ribbon and loose tube, performed independently.
• Proficient with OTDR/OLTS tests and validating results against criteria.
• Able to read fiber drawings and rack elevations.
• Willingness to travel nationally on a continuous basis.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to work unsupervised at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform ribbon and loose tube fusion splicing, including butt splices and restoration work.
• Build and dress splice enclosures and Fiber Distribution Frames (FDFs).
• Install Line Interface Units (LIUs) and MPO panels.
• Perform mid-span entries and ring cuts.
• Maintain proper fiber routing, slack storage, and cable management to spec.
• Produce accurate splice records and complete fiber test packages.
• Coordinate with customers and other trades on-site.
• Lead small crews of technicians when assigned.
