Job summary

Mission Hospital - Memorial Campus in Asheville, NC is seeking an RN for the ED night shift. This contract role features 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, with a base pay and weekly stipends.

Requires 2+ years in Level 2 trauma and ED, ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC/CPI/NIHSS/ENPC within 90 days; teamwork and coaching abilities are essential; Cerner documentation is used in the ED.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in Level 2 trauma center and high-volume ED.
• 2+ years as a nurse with at least 1 year in ER setting.
• Able to coach and give real-time feedback.

Responsibilities

• Night shift 12 hours/day, 3 days/week in ED.
• Provide patient care in ED with triage and monitoring.
• Collaborate with ED team to ensure patient experience and safety.

• Number of Beds : 101
• Patient Ratios : 4:1 typically- medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Unit staffing description- Techs available- work in cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area, triage, Unit clerks days and nights
• Type of equipment : baxter pumps, Client monitors
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, can't commit to block scheduling, scheduling must meet the needs of the dept.
• Floating policy: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
• Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Respectful behavior, Pt Experience to each patient, Boards updated with info and pt updated throughout visit

• Certifications: ACLS before starting dateon hire

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: 2 years' experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume > 100,000 visit ED. Previous Client experience preferred.

Must have: 2 years' experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting, teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
