Unit Information

• Number of beds: 101
• Patient ratios: 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Staffing: Techs, cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage, clerks days and nights
• Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Scheduling: Every other weekend; no block scheduling; schedule must meet department needs
• Floating: Must be open to all ED sections; no floating outside ED
• Patient experience: AIDET, respectful behavior, consistent updates

Credentials / Certifications

• ACLS before starting date or hire
• BLS before starting date or hire
• PALS before starting date or hire
• TNCC before starting date or hire
• CPI before starting date or hire
• NIHSS before starting date or hire
• ENPC within 90 days of hire

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high‑volume ED (>100,000 visits)
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• At least 1 year experience in ER setting
