Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Extended Assignment Travel RN in the Emergency Department for the night shift. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED.

The program requires a 13-week surge-season assignment (Oct–Mar) with a 36-hour work week and subsequent PRN opportunities during non-peak periods. All certifications must be current on hire.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing (RN) with Bachelor’s preferred.
• BLS certification required; must be active on hire.
• RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• PALS certification; TNCC or equivalent.
• ACLS certification; minimum competency in advanced life support.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes) using evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate care through effective partnerships with interdisciplinary teams.
• Document timely and accurately; uphold patient safety and quality standards.
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care across diverse populations.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to support fiscally responsible care delivery.
• Participate in performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
