Job summary

HRforGrowth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Emergency Department for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will care for patients across varying ages and acuity in a fast-paced ED.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure, 2+ years in Emergency Department, BLS, NIHSS/PALS/ACLS certifications, and prior travel experience. Night shifts are 7:00 PM–7:00 AM in a travel contract setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Georgia RN license in good standing without limitations.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department specialty experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time RN experience following orientation or residency.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current NIHSS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
• Prior travel assignment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent emergency nursing care to patients across varying ages and acuity levels.
• Perform patient triage and determine appropriate acuity levels.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care using the nursing process.
• Care for patients presenting with multiple injuries, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, OB/GYN emergencies, and other medical and surgical conditions.
• Rapidly assess and adapt nursing care based on changing patient conditions.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize clinical information systems and patient-care technology effectively.
• Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement and clinical readiness activities.
