Job summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Erie, Pennsylvania. The role involves serving as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist with duties in scrubbing and circulating roles, and supporting open-heart procedures.
Candidates should graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program or have 18 months CVOR experience, hold a CPR card, and have knowledge of CVOR instrumentation. Travel, housing, and credentialing support are provided.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
- Current CPR provider card.
- Minimum eighteen months of CVOR experience or completed clinical orientation for open-heart care.
- Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation related to cardiac procedures.
- CABG and cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs treatments per protocols.
- Scrubbing, 2nd circulating, and 3rd person/Heart Holder roles in the CVOR.
- Picks supplies, sets up instruments, scrubs, and counts.
- Obtains specimens and hands over to circulating nurse.
- Facilitates room turnover time.
- Participates in department on-call schedule.
